See Saws are a true classic and ours have been designed to last for years. They have a main beam that is 3m long and 9cm x 9cm square which pivots on a single ash bearing that is 38mm in diameter. To provide for a strong pivot support structure there is a steel bolt hidden in the support base that runs its length.
The shaped seats are made from a waterproof material similar to bakelite and the 38mm ash handles are comfortable and give a feeling of security when holding on. Pressure-treated rectangular timber has been used to minimize splits and cracks

Construction requires two people and we would allow at least two hours for this. Full instructions and all fittings are provided to hopefully make this a straightforward job.
